West Side Elementary School is a part of the Concord Community Schools. It serves more than 600 students in grades kindergarten through six. The student-teacher ratio of the school is 19-to-1. The school has more a staff of more than 30 certified members that include classroom teachers, art, music and physical education specialists. It also has full-time school counselor, mild disabilities teachers, gifted and talented teacher, speech and language specialists and reading recovery teachers. The school s curriculum includes reading and writing, language arts, Spanish, English, math, science and social studies. It offers a variety of sports, such as football, basketball, soccer, volleyball and swimming. The school is located in Elkhart, Ind.
