The Ellettsville Branch Library is a full service branch of Monroe County Public Library. The 12,000 square-foot facility was built to serve the rapidly growing western section of Monroe County.

Library cards are free to all county residents. All are welcome. The branch library offers diverse collections of books, audiobooks, books on CD, movies and music, magazines, and newspapers. Other services include public Internet computers, reference service, and a full range of programs for children (from birth on up) and their families. The MCPL teen librarian also presents programs at the branch on a regular basis.

The Ellettsville Branch Library is located at the intersection of Highway 46 (Temperance Street) and Sale Street in downtown Ellettsville.
Amenities
In 2009, a Children's Room was added to the branch with cozy reading nooks, play areas, computer games, and books for infants through Grade 8.The facility includes a teen area and two study rooms, as well as public display cases, and a meeting room that nonprofit groups can reserve.The Branch provides free parking for library patrons.
