Provided by YPmobileI went into the waiting room for the first time today with my husband to wait for him during his appointment. As he checked in, I could hear the receptionist saying that he could not see the therapist until he "paid his balance."
I assumed that - since they were being so strict and rigid - he must owe previous copays that have accumulated. I heard the rude office woman tell him that they would check to see if the therapist would see him. My husband commented that he would probably be looking for a different doctor, and one of the office women actually said that he "can't just say that." Last time I checked, we do not live in communist North Korea and he can say whatever he wants about looking for a new doctor.
While waiting, I discovered that my husband only owed the $10 for today and this was the first time he has ever been unable to pay it. By the way, he has been ordered by a doctor not to work and has no income until we get somewhere with filing for disability benefits, which he mentioned at the front desk but still was treated like some low life over $10. Of course, I paid it for him at that point since I now knew the balance was only $10. After a half hour of waiting, the therapist finally saw him. All of this... after the same therapist cancelled on him the previous day with little notice.
The staff at this facility is rude and uncaring. My husband is currently looking for a new therapist.
