Miracle Worker!! Three weeks ago today, helped college daughter move. Was careful, drove the Uhaul box truck, didn’t lift heavy things. As a result of repetitive climbing in/out of the drivers seat, pulled something under my left shoulder blade. Couldn’t, lay down or sleep. Urgent care day 2. No help. Mercy ER day three. X-rays, pain killers. 2 hours of relief at a time. No help. My doc, day 5. Prescription. No help. Ortho doc day 6. “Try stretching”. At wits end, sleeping sitting up, when all the pills had run out, with a friends suggestion, day 13, went to Dr. Burke. In the first meeting she determined a rib was pushed out of place. Electric massage therapy and adjustment. Day 14, 2nd trip to Dr. Burke, more physical therapy and adjustment. Sent home with gel ice pack for my shoulder blade area. No drugs. Tension was releasing, was able to lay in bed. Day 16, visit three, physical therapy, better adjustments. Feeling better. Sleeping. Day 18, Dr. Burke carefully and quickly popped the rib back into place. It hurt, but fixed the problem. No other doc had detected the injury properly. Final visit, today, Day 21. I am better. Back to myself. No drugs. Released from treatment unless I wish to have more physical therapy support. Dr. Burke is smart! Knew the issue immediately and treated the issue with respect and kindness. What a master of her trade. If you have physical injury, give her a try. She is better than your prescription writing doc. Dr.Burke fixes the problem, does NOT mask it and make you feel crazy.
