I switched to Magic Auto after a string of problems with my Suburban. (Turned out my previous mechanic was competent at maintenance, but terrible at diagnostics.) On our first trip to Magic Auto, they correctly diagnosed the problem (which we'd been dealing with for months) and for just $100 we had our replacement parts and were on our way.This is a mechanic with years of experience at both auto and boat repair and body work. He is constantly tinkering and rebuilding, and is therefore very knowledgeable. When I drop off my vehicle in the evening after closing, he's often still out there working on his own projects. He's also been generous with his time, explaining to me what I'm seeing and what's coming down the road.He is a little biased toward Chevy trucks, but we haven't been dissatisfied at all with his customer service regarding our Toyota, or with his help in evaluating potential purchases.
