I inherited the sham work of this company. Moved into a house in Arlington Heights that had ~$9280 of work done and not completed to specs. He did two liners and lock top dampers but never attached and cemented the liner to the smoke chamber. Work done by Mike C #5508 on 5/1/15. It unfortunate that my first cleaning uncovered the unfinished work that cost an additional few hundred dollars $$$. So let this be a warning that although a job may cost a lot, does not mean you will get what you pay for. For the two fireplaces if I got the work done on both would of been between $1000-$1500.

A little more background...the former owner of the house was a retired lady. She was preparing to sell the house. And after a $3100 deposit, one would think that reviews from paid sites would pan out well. This company took in $9297.97 and unless the former would go and look up in the fireplace, then she would only assume the work was completed unless she looked up inside. But based on reviews, who would think that you would need to go above and beyond to confirm the work?

My hope is to get this review on all the sites but finding the pay sites like Angie's List makes it harder to accomplish. One would think that past work would be a tell my sign of other work that might be done on a new job.

Chris F and Sean H were SO professional. They were very clean, accommodating, courteous and came in exactly what they quoted me. Chris and his team had to reschedule because of the heat last week and did everything to get here in a timely manner (gotta take care of your people when it 115 heat index outside!!). Thanks for rescheduling so fast and getting the job done in a timely manner. You guys rock!

The 2 technicians were very professional, did the work in a great time frame and cleaned up everything before they left. They also let me look before and after they added the insulation.

Were professional and responsible. Communicated project to be done clearly and gave final report as well. Ken and Doug were very personable and diligent. They settled down to business quickly and completed project with apparent efficiency.

Excellent service - The technician (Chris F.) did his job professional and went beyond expectation. He took the pictures of our chimney and showed us the problems we have. He also gave us suggestions to fix little problems that we can do them ourselves to save money. Thanks

I was informed by a friend that it appeared that my hot water heater wasn't venting properly. I am a retired pharmacist on permanent disability. I mention this only because I have a deep understanding about CO (carbon monoxide) poisoning and how deadly it can be. I found early times in the yellow pages and set up an inspection of my chimney. they diagnosed the problem as a damaged liner, cleared the blockage and quoted me prices to fix the problem. they came out 2 days later and installed a new liner. they were professional in every way and left no debris behind. great job all around!!!

I called Early Times because when it rained my chimney would leak. Ken came over and looked at it and took pictures so I could understand exactly what was wrong. The repair was more than we could afford at the time so we had to put it off. Over a year later, not only did Early Times still have all my information but they honored the quote from a year ago. I ordered the Chase top and they had it made in only two days & installed in under a week. Ken & Robert came out & not only installed the Chase top but fixed the pipes that my contractor didn't assemble correctly. When I happened to ask Ken about a problem with my flue lock & gas pipe, he took care of both. I can't say enough about how wonderful & professional they were. Thanks guy!

I can honestly say that in the 23 years that I have lived in my home and have had other companies come to clean, these guys were by far the best at it. We had Ken and Doug over to install a chimney sleeve. They did an outstanding job. They explained all of the work they were doing as well as the reason for doing it. They were perfectionists, and made sure to clean up when they were done. Finally, they provided precise instructions for maintenance and upkeep for the following days and months ahead.

Technicians (Eric & Doug) were very conscientious and made sure that everything was in perfect working order before they left.Eric had originally cleaned my dryer vent and told me of the issue with my fireplace. He was very knowledgeable and took pictures to where I could show my husband.If it wasn't for an employee like this, I wouldn't have been as apt to schedule the work the very next day.Thanks again to: Eric & Doug

I would like to express my appreciation for the quality of service recently performed on my wood burning stove, chimney cleaning and liner install by Mr. ken Kopka and his assistant Doug (last name ? ) . Mr. Kopka's willingness to convey information, show concern for safety and complete the work in a clean and efficient manner left me no doubt that I selected the right company . Just had Early Times out to re-line my chimney. Not only were they prompt, professional and knowledgeable, they also best a competitor's quote for the same job by a significant amount. Ken Kopka came out for both the estimate and to perform the work. He was great. Friendly, professional and took the time to explain what was wrong, why it was wrong and the proper way to fix it. I will definitely be using Early Times again.

I had Ken Kopka and his crew visit a client to inspect a chimney...they did a marverlous job and showed great respect for the clients home and plantings. You won't be disappointed.

Chris Fuentas and his partner were extremely helpful. They were on time and finished quickly. They did an excellent job!!

Early Times came to our house to install a new water heater liner and to reline our fireplace. The job took over 7 hours to complete. Ken & Robert were wonderful - very polite and they explained everything they were doing.

Ken and Dan are a great team. This was the second visit of the year. First time for a chimney and fireplace cleaning and this time for some mortar repair on the outside of our chimney. Clean, courteous, and always professional.

Matt and Dan did a great job replacing the chimney liner and doing the required tuck pointing. Excellent service, on time and very professional.
