Established in 1879, Immanuel Lutheran School is a coeducational center that provides Christian-based educational services. It enrolls students in preschool through grade eight. The school s educational programs include instruction in reading, language arts, mathematics, science, music, social studies, and religious and physical education. Immanuel Lutheran School also provides Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) and before- and after-school programs. The school conducts various sports activities that include cross-country, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, and track and field. Additionally, it organizes several cocurricular events, including geography bee competitions, scouting trips, musical shows, dramatic plays, and fun and science fairs. Immanuel Lutheran School has a parent-teacher league that supports the school in hosting various fundraising activities. The school is located in Elmhurst, Ill., and is operated by Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Best Elmhurst School

This is the best option for children preschool through 8th grade. This is a Christian based school and the teachers are very well educated and caring. It offers before and after school care on top of a very academic based school day. Hot lunch is offered as well as numerous music/band programs and athletics. Their early childhood center is one of the best in town with strong teachers and flexible options. I was a student there 20 years ago and loved it so much that now I teach there too! Come check it out!
