The Vacaville Public Works Department maintains the Easterly Wastewater Treatment Plant, which treats an average of more than 7 million gallons of wastewater per day. Its disinfected biosolids are taken to the landfill after a thorough treatment process. The Vacaville Public Works Department also operates and maintains various utility facilities, including the flow metering and odor control sites, municipal lift stations and wells, water storage reservoirs and pump stations. In addition, it plans, designs and constructs new public facilities and structures, as well as rehabilitates and modifies existing facilities and structures. The department additionally has administrative and engineering services, maintenance, traffic utilities, and engineering and transit divisions. The Vacaville Public Works Department is located in Elmira, Calif.
