Elmwood School is a part of the Elmwood Park Community Unit School District #401. It serves students from grades one through six. The school offers a wide curriculum that includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, language arts and physical education. It also offers classes in fine arts, keyboarding, special education and reading. It provides a variety of cocurricular activities and programs. The school, located in Elmwood Park, Ill., organizes several programs that include fine arts, gifted and talented education, D401 keyboarding and technology apprentice. Its D401 keyboarding program teaches students the correct method of using a keyboard and other computer skills. The school s staff includes subject teachers, psychologists, reading specialists and paraprofessionals, special education coordinators and technology support personnel.
