There are two types of contractors 1( contractors who make mistakes and fix them and 2) contractors who make mistakes and run from them.



Its human to make mistakes. Its honorable to take responsibility for those mistakes. While Bruce Tehrani did an overall good job on my remodel, he did bungle the install of the granite counters, after three failed attempts at fixing the error, i asked for my install fee of $1200 dollars back. Bruce instead of refunding (a small price to pay in exchange for me having to look at dull counters for the rest of my life), gave me a sob story about his personal life which disarmed me with sympathy and caused me to accept a lower amount of money - $300 dollars - i have to admit i feel like Bruce manipulated me by feeding me his sob story so i will feel bad about asking for my install refund - i really hate to knock people who have done work for me, but in this case i feel its warranted - bruce got paid 900 dollars for a crappy granite install and i have to look at damaged granite for the rest of my life - who got shafted here?
