I have no idea what the quality of the hairdressing is like. My issue with the salon was that after calling a few weeks ago to make sure they were accepting the gift certificates they had agreed to sell through CThalfoff.com, and being assured those were valid. I bought one, made an appointment, hired a babysitter, drove a half hour each way to the salon and was told "Oh We don't accept those anymore."



The salon is near where I work, I would have considered switching salons. However the customer service is awful. She did offer to discount the services, so for just a little over $100 more than the offer they are advertising on the internet, I could have tried a new hairdresser. To recap, hair - still to long, and grown out, last minute babysitter - $25, Invalid gift certificate - $25, gas from Wethersfield to Enfield and back - $10 , and my entire day off wasted. Buyer Beware, I guess.

Ive been looking for a good hairdresser for sometime now and I finally found a great one in Lauren at Shear Elegance! I was ready to pay alot like usual for my fantastic haircut and was very pleased when I ended up paying alot less! I just let her do what she wanted and ended up with a beautiful color and perfect cut! Im constantly getting compliments on my hair and I love it! Cant wait to see what she has in store for me next time!

I have been a client of Laurens for the past four years. I met Lauren when my hairdresser cancelled on me at a former salon and she offered to do my hair as I had an engagement...I have been hooked ever since! Lauren is reliable, reasonable, and accessible. I carry her cards with me because I regularly recieve compliments on my hair. She does referral discounts and I now have my friends, mother in law, aunts, father in law and my mother going to her. The new salon is beautiful and the staff at Shear Elegance are all friendly! They provide a large variety of services including pedicures, manicures, waxing, extensions, cuts, color, highlights, shampoo, and straightening. If you do not have a hairdresser or your new do isn't as cute as you wanted it to be I suggest you call Lauren or stop by Shear Elegance!! She has great prices and is available in your time of need!

I have been a customer with Shear Elegance now for several months. I specifically use Lauren and have never been disappointed. She is patient with my specific likes and dislikes. She remembers colors I don't enjoy and colors I love. My hair always leaves looking great and feeling great. Her colors are rich and vibrant. She has always taken the time to ensure my hair is 100% before letting me leave. I've recently brought a friend in and she is hooked now as well. I would also add that she goes above and beyond expectations to ensure that I AM HAPPY. AND prices are great. Well within reason. Please give this place a try. I come all the way from Berlin CT to Enfield just for this place. Everyone there is great. So if Lauren isn't available try someone else out, you truly won't be disappointed.
