I love the place. Best fish & chips around. You can substitute their rice which is also excellent. Their specials are great. I have been going there for many years. I highly recommend the place.

Who in the world does not crack their own lobster??

I am sorry that the lobster lady had what she feels is such a bad experience, when she herself didn't even talk to the place herself. I have been to Steve's Boston Seafood probably 30 times in the last 9 years. I go to the Boston area a few times a year and when I stay in Hartford, I make sure the travel service puts me up in Enfield so I am close to Steve's. I am from Atlanta area. The staff is friendly and Steve, the Greek owner, is great. He comes off a little gruff at first, but is a great guy.



I have never had a bad meal at Steve's. It is definitely a take-out restaurant (it only has one table) as well as a seafood market. The prices are unbelievable, and I mean low!!! If I was to buy this food in Atlanta at this quality, it would be double. Don't expect ambience, there is none. Order your food, pick it up and enjoy. The only wish you would have is to take your wife or a date to this place for a night out...that won't happen...lol...one more thing to the lobster lady, If you want your lobster cracked, ASK...many places don't do it until it is served...
