This is a review of the Service Dept and Sales Dept.

I gave one star because taking stars away was not an option!!!

I have been waiting for more than 2 hours for an oil change. I am still waiting... Just talked to Jim in the service.... He told me they are going to get to it soon... I can't believe it... inefficient and poorly managed service dept. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Bye... East Coast Auto Mall.... (I am still waiting....)

By the way, I leased my Sentra from Hackensack Nissan this Summer. I did not lease it from this dealership because, at the end, they wanted me to pay about $200/month more for the same exact car; a fully loaded Sentra...

Nearing the end of July, my wife and I were looking to leasing another Nissan when our prior lease was almost up. We went to Hackensack Nissan and talked to a sales person there. He was not pushy at all. He started the initial paperwork and gave us the deal that was very close to what we wanted. Then, we went to ECAM in Englewood Cliffs one evening to work out a deal with a sales rep so we can compare deals.(we waited about 1 hour before sales showed up to talk to us. Why? Because the rest of them are in the VW showroom having a sales meeting.) That evening was not pleasant. The sales was pushed by his manager to have us sign the paperwork and to leave a deposit. After we discussed the payment amount and options, we agreed on the details. While the discussion took place, the sales would constantly walk back and forth between his manager and us to communicate our requests and his manger's demand. Finally, we reached a deal. Personal information was given, paperwork was signed, and the deposit was given to the dealership. We would be back and pick up the car next day. (The first evening, we spent about 2.5 hours there.)

Next day, I went back to pick up the car. I got there around 12:30pm. I waited for the same sales rep to finish with his customer. After he was done with them, 1.5 hour had passed. He had the car cleaned and washed before deliver it to me. He started to finish the paperwork that was left over from last night. Again, he constantly walks back and forth between his manager and I. After the sales finished his paperwork, he sent me to a manger that deals with the final paperwork and temp license. It was about 4:45pm. As this manager looked over the paperwork, he told me the credit check was not initiated at all. I started to feel the heat.... After the credit check was done(30 min), he told me that they couldn't honor the deal that we had worked on for the past (2.5+4=) 6.5 hrs. TO MAKE THE DEAL WORK FOR THIS DEALERSHIP, I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $200 MORE THAN THE AGREED MONTHLY PAYMENT. He then tried to convince me to finance it instead of lease it. That means more money out of my pocket (not worth it)... It went downhill after that. Wanting to get my cash deposit back from last night, I was told to come back the next day because the person responsible for the refund check was gone for the day. It was about 5:45pm. when I finally left the dealership.

The next day, I went back and waited in their VW showroom for about 1.5 hr to get my refund check. That was the end!!! Approximately 8 hours wasted in this dealership for it poor operation. NEVER AGAIN!!! (i went there because it was closer to my house.)
