Provided by YP.comMy son was visiting from Idaho, and his car was limping along. We took it to another shop and the price to fix was way too high. Japanese diagnosed properly and fixed his car at a affordable price. The manager was exceptional in his knowledge of the car and we drove away happy campers. I rate this business very high and would recommend to any one with car problems.

Provided by YP.comThe most insulting and disappointing customer serice experience I have ever encountered from a local business from the owner himself. Kind of thing that news channels go under cover to out business that practice this way. I guarantee that had I been a man,Mr.Randy Brown would not have treated me or spoken to me in the he had. Yes they replaced to parts that were damaged, but they did not fix the problem that had caused them to be damaged and because he wouldn't take the time or acknowledge that's all I was trying to accomplish with his auto repair shop, the car is still not fixed properly (concerning me that it may do more damage to other parts)and experiencing new ones. He was rude, insulting, condesending, arogant and in the end when I asked if he was the owner or who would I complain to about his demeaner he told me if I had anything to say "I should get on my knees"!!!!!

Provided by YP.comInitially I had work done at Japanese Specialists by referral. He seemed friendly and fair in pricing. I had a timing belt replaced and everything seemed fine. In a short amount of time I had some electrical issues occur and my engine light appeared and my car started to choke out when I accelerated from a stop. I took it back to JS and was told my alternator was floating around in my engine and shorted out my main computer. I have a Honda Civic and the computer would need to come through Honda and be reprogramed by Honda and that I should replace my alternator just in case (totaling around $1400). When I was told by a friend that the alternator had to be loosened to replace the timing belt, we realized it was never fastened down after JS had worked on it. The day after I had dropped off my car I went back to talk to him and he didn't even recognize me or remember that he had my car or that he had worked on it before. He verbally would not own his mistake, rudely gave me his insurance info and told me he couldn't do anything more for me. I had the car towed to Honda where they found that the mounting bracket was destroyed from the alternator bouncing around and would need to also be replaced but they could do no work until the insurance company approved and saw the car. They had a difficult time and said it was the worst experience they had ever had with an Ins. Company, but when they finally got to the right person they told Honda they were still waiting on the report from the owner before they could approve the work. 5 weeks later I finally got my car back, the alternator didn't need to be replaced like Randy had recommended and the bill was $1200 not $1400 and the insurance company did pay it. I would never recommend Japanese Specialists, the quality control does not exist!

Provided by YP.comI have never been to a shop that takes the time to not only explain what needs to be done but to show you exactly whats going to be done and goes above and beyond all expectations. I will recomend anybody to this shop no matter what make or model they drive.

Provided by YP.comMy experience with Japanese Specialist's was one of the best experiences I have had when it came to fixing the headlights on my Honda. I have take it to several shops who charged me for their time, but still where unable to sovle the electrical problem that I had with my headlamps.
Within a few short hours, Randy call to let me know my car was fixed and it was a short in the wires from a rodent chewing on them. Randy explained and even showed me where the problem was so this was a great experience that really paid off. I give them 5 stars and suggest if you have a Japanese car, you go to an expert on them, and this company is just that. Thanks Randy to you and your co-workers for getting the job done.!!!
