Been taking my car here for almost 10 years, everything great! Never any problems. I have had 3 different cars and he had serviced every one of them perfectly.

I took my car to this shop twice for an ongoing issue with a misfire that was triggering a check engine light. My first experience with these guys wasn't too bad. They fixed a vacuum leak that they thought was the cause and reset the light. However, because the misfire reoccurred, I had to return for a second time. I dropped off my car and the next day I had a voice mail from Matt saying that my car was ready to pick up. He explained that after a whole series of tests they couldn't figure out the cause of the misfire. They ended up calling a guy whom they knew from Honda and he recommended replacing the distributor. This is where my opinion of these guys changed. First off all, the two diagnostic tests that he named were actually repeats of original tests from the first visit. Second, and most importantly, they performed repairs without my consent. Don't get me wrong, I most likely would have agreed to try the distributor, but the practice of performing repairs without an owners consent is against the law. I certainly would not have agreed to pay for repeat testing. I called Matt back and mentioned that I wasn't happy with paying for duplicate tests (not wanting to start too much trouble, I resisted mentioning the illegality of what they did). He agreed to knock off a couple bucks and told me that if the distributor didn't work I would get my money back. Two days after I picked up my car the misfire happened again. That Monday I called and talked to one of the employees and was informed that Matt was out of town until Tuesday. Not wanting to mess around with these guys anymore, I asked him to call Matt and get the okay to swap out the parts. A few hours later I called again for an update and was told that he had left Matt a voicemail and that he'd call me if he heard anything. Tuesday I called an spoke with Matt to set up an appointment. He actually sounded surprised on the phone that I was having an issue and told me to come in. Did that employee really call him? I went to the shop and they swapped out the part right away. However, when it came time to refund me, he tried to return only the cost of the part. I demanded the labor for installing the distributor and the diagnostic fees for the repeat tests. After he disagreed with this, I told him to give me a list of the tests from the first visit and the second visit and that any new tests I would gladly pay for. All he could say was "we did all the tests" and "we spent a lot of time of that car and that I don't work for free". (At this point I was assuming that he had no idea what was done). I told him that wasn't good enough and that I wanted to know what work they had done (Their work invoices are the least descriptive documents I have ever seen. Think of a receipt from the grocery store saying nothing but "groceries"). He then said sarcastically, "When I woke up this morning I said to myself I think i'll work for free today, so okay i'll give you your money back". I then told him that my intention was not to get anything for free and that I would pay for any new testing they performed, just not repeat testing. His response: "You just want everything free". Bottom line: If you had a coupon for an oil change, these guys might be able to do it. But if you want professional, courteous service, i'd stay away from these "parts changers".

I have been a devoted customer to Max Automotive for six plus years and I have had the best service anyone can ask for. Prices are much lower that everyone I have every used before and all my work has been done correctly the first time. I have had brake jobs, tune-ups, door handles replacements to mention a few things he has done for me and I am 100% satisfied with his work. I highly recommend using this repair shop.

Woohoo, this shop is as good as it gets! Fantastic, reliable shop, with great pricing...DEFINITE 5 STARS!. I have been going to this shop for years and as a single female, I never think twice about services or repairs. After an horrible experience with a local brake shop, I discovered Max Automotive after going to this well-known local brake shop where I had a "warranty" on the brakes I had purchased a few years prior. The brake shop indicated that my car was totally unsafe, had multiple major issues and I should not drive it at all and even went to the extent to say that if I did not get service there, I should have it towed. There estimate to make my car "safe" was $1,100! After finding Max Auto and reporting all the issues that were supposedly wrong with the car, I was able to have my auto repaired quickly for approximately $400 and have not had any problems or issues with the repairs. This shop is honest, thorough, reliable and quick on repairs. You will save money and time by getting only what you really need fixed, when they say it will be don, and with the utmost respect for you as a customer. I HIGHLY recommend this shop...

I took in my 1991 Nissan Pathfinder for a clutch repair and what I thought was an oil leak. Matt repaired the clutch slave cylinder and informed me what I assumed was an oil leak was actually power steering fluid.. The power steering pump was replaced. Matt was quick to respond with the problems on my vehicle, the cost and the repairs. I know i would have paid three times as much at a dealer. I highly reccomend using Max Auto if you are anywhere near the South Denver area.

I just had a new clutch put in my 2006 Mazda 3. I can't tell you how glad I am to have found this place. Excellent service and fantastic price! Matt really knows his stuff. It's a small shop so you can imagine that he has both everything to gain and everything to lose from the service and prices he gives. Try him out. I will never again go to Mazda for repairs. You'll be all over my Facebook. Thanks, Matt!

Had my truck worked on at Affordable Transmission for some driveline work... decided that Matt was going to be cheaper for a new clutch! Not only was Matt cheaper but he also found a huge problem with my transfer case!! Matt did all the research to find what I needed and made all the repairs quickly and very affordable! Matts quote was over email for the clutch and he charged exactly what he quoted! I will never take my business elsewhere!! Thanks Matt!

About a month ago my car (Acura TL) started leaking antifreeze and overheating. I knew my water pump was going out which is VERY expensive to have replaced at the dealership ($600 for just labor!!!). I found Matt and and he told he could the water pump AND timing belt for $250 in labor...I didn't believe him. I took my car in and in less then 24 hours and $250.00 I had it back and running again...I sure did miss her! It runs great now! I couldn't be happier!
