The Birthing Center at INTEGRIS Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, Okla., offers specialized care and education for expecting parents. Whether it’s a first-time mom or a more experienced one, the staff at INTEGRIS Bass treats each one like family.
All nurses who work at the birthing center are certified in Neonatal Resuscitation to handle any problems that may arise and 13 nurses are nationally certified. INTEGRIS Bass also has an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) on staff.
Guests enjoy beautifully furnished suites, which include a birthing bed, dinette, sleeper chair, bassinet and entertainment center with a CD player and TV/VCR. Each suite also has its own private Jacuzzi tub.
The hospital provides the latest alternative therapies for labor including, a labor support chair, birthing balls to allow the baby to descend into the pelvis, music therapy and nurses who have special training in labor support.
Bass Birthing Center provides breastfeeding support to all mothers while they are in the hospital. The lactation consultant will make rounds on all breastfeeding mothers during their hospital stay.
The birthing center offers a variety of educational classes and times to meet busy schedules.

- Special Care Nursery - If a baby requires a higher level of care Special Extras: Before leaving the hospital, every baby born at INTEGRIS Bass is given a hearing screening using state-of-the-art auditory assessment equipment. The screening is done while the baby is asleep and measures the baby’s brain response to a series of clicking noises. INTEGRIS Bass also offers the Newborn Channel, a 24-hour educational television network delivered directly to your room. The programming, which is available in English and Spanish, addresses a myriad of topics from postpartum care for mom to how to soothe a crying baby. Breast Pump Program: INTEGRIS offers a Medela breast pump program. Depending on health insurance type, plan and network, policies for reimbursement differ. Private or commercial insurance could cover costs up to 100%. (Medicaid or WIC must contact the state WIC agency for assistance.)
