I have received three MRIs at this location over an eight to ten year period. The first was satisfactory and very professional. I am claustrophobic and was offered mild sedation, which I accepted. No problems. The second MRI was NOT satisfactory at all. I mentioned that I probably needed sedation, but it was never given. The machine itself grew progressivly hotter against my arm to the point I thought it was burning me. I told them this several times but they only told my to lie still. By the time it was over, I was a nervous wreck and climbing the walls. The last MRI I received was yesterday, and I will NEVER to to this facility again! I will take a day off of work and go to OKC or another location before I ever go near this place again! My appointment was originally last week, last time slot of the day. I left work early and was almost there when they called to tell me my insurance had not yet approved it. I asked why they waited until 25 minutes before the appointment to call me, and they had no reason. Work missed by myself and my spouse for nothing! I rescheduled when it was approved and returned yesterday. On the surgeon's script it stated I needed sedation. When they were positioning me on the table, etc., I asked when I would receive it. (I am a very polite person, by the way.) The doctor who was getting me in position began lecturing me that I had previously had MRIs and nothing bad had happened, no one ever got stuck, etc. He then proceeded to tell me that it as "all in my head"--direct quote. My rebuttal was that any number of things, including phoebias, addicitons, etc. are all in one's head but that makes absolutely no difference as to how one feels. He finally gave me the sedation and the procedure commensed without incident. I have NEVER been treated so rudely by a medical "professional" in my life! Be warned!
