Dr. Heather Adicks does not see the value her clients business as is not willing to compromise at all. Her prescription prices are very expensive. The Dr. Opens the medication during the visit so you are not able to return the medication if you do not want it. My husband came home with over $100 in medication half of which we did not need as our dog has a chronic issue, and my husband didn't realize that we already had most of it. Plus the medication given that we wanted to return was not even for the main reason we came in. I was fine with the medication she prescribed for our issue, however she added on several other high dollar items that we did not need. The same day within an hour I called back to say we did not need the medication and wanted to see if we could return it they said yes if the container was not opened. One of the items was given to us opened. We are new to town with 3 dogs and have already spent over $500 with their office in the last few months and would be giving them a lot of business over the years. When I went over the situation with the owner Dr. Heather and asked if she would consider crediting at least their $18 dispensing fee she said no. I can buy the medication she was selling me for $15 less at a pharmacy or online, (even with a shipping fee) and with their $18 dispensing fee on top it made the medication almost double the price what I used to pay at my old vet when I bought it at their office. She did say in the future she could write a prescription which was good and would be the route that we would go. I asked for a little compromise since we could not return the medication, if she would consider refunding the $18 dispensing fee, as a goodwill gesture. Which would go a long way towards a new client. She stated that she saw no reason to offer a credit and would not be crediting the $18 as she was a small business. Seems like a small price to pay for a happy loyal customer (I was with my last vet for 8 years) We will not be returning and cannot recommend them to anyone. I like supporting small businesses as usually they are willing to work with you. But not Dr. Adicks

This vet is much too eager to euthanize pets. My elderly mother recently took a kitten to her. This vet asked my mother to leave the room while she examined the kitten, when she had my mother come back in the room the kitten was lying in the carrier. The Vet then told my mother the kitten had a heart murmur and due to the kittens "fractious" nature she recommended euthanasia. Every ailment this Vet mentioned was treatable. This kitten had gone through multiple vet checks as she was flown to the US from Egypt by a wonderful organization. Many donations and lots of caring people were involved in this rescue. The vet evidently did not hold back that she felt it was wrong to be bringing rescues to the US when so many cats and kittens are being killed in shelters daily. I am so disgusted with this vet, despite how strongly her views may be she should have refused service instead of kill a healthy treatable kitten because of her personal opinion, which she should have also kept to herself. She gave my elderly mother the impression that this kitten was suffering and un-treatable.

Do not trust this vet with your pets, in loving memory of baby Sofie if for no other.
