Provided by YP.comI scheduled for Connecto to do some work on one of my apartment units. Two workers did 38 minutes of work (from 8:10 AM to 8:48 AM) and so I should have been billed for two hours of work. When I received the invoice I was dismayed to see I was billed for four hours of work.
I e-mailed the biller, Lisa on 2-2-17 and she failed to respond. And so I e-mailed her again on 2-13-2017 and she evidently forwarded my e-mail to the owner, Jeff, who sent me a response, claiming the two workers got to my apartment building at 7:00 AM and had waited over an hour for me.
I responded, stating we didn’t have an appointment for 7 AM. The morning of the work (1-18-2017), one of the two workers, named Andy, called me at 7:10 AM and asked what time I could meet them there. I said I could be there at 8:00 AM. He didn’t tell me he and the other worker would be there (I don’t know if they were calling from outside my property at 7:10 AM—that was never divulged to me by Jeff) at 7:00 AM and no one told me billing would begin at 7:00 AM. I’m not psychic and so there was no way for me to know they would be there at 7:00 AM. It would have certainly helped for the worker, Andy, or the owner, Jeff, to have told me they’d be there at that time and not to simply ask, “What time do you want to meet us?”
Again, I am not a mind-reader.
When I stated all of this to Jeff he responded VIA e-mail with, “…sorry for the confusion.”
Confusion?
There was no confusion. Noone told me my appointment was at 7:00 AM. I was asked what time could I be at my property. Again, that’s not confusion. You can’t withhold information to someone, bill them double, and then say there’s confusion.
Instead of labeling it confusion, you should call it a lack of communication by you, Jeff, and your worker, Andy.
I won’t ever use Connecto again—I told Jeff this and I will stick by it. I hope the extra $100 you made off me was worth it. Use it and invest in some books on communication….
Also, the invoice stated they replaced light fixtures in the attic and bedroom which is simply false—they switched out a few non-working light bulbs in the attic and they took a look at a fixture in the bedroom but didn’t replace it because there was no longer any electric running to the fixture (and instead of removing the fixture and putting a cap over the hole someone had simply installed a fixture in another part of the bedroom). False statements on the invoice—must be another example of ‘more confusion’.
