The Erie Wastewater Treatment Plant is a secondary activated sludge treatment plant that has a design capacity of more than 65 million gallons per day on over 20 acres of land in the City of Erie in Pennsylvania. It serves more than 200,000 residents through a city and suburban sewer system that is called the Municipal Flow. The Erie Wastewater Treatment Plant serves the cities of Millcreek, Summit, Haborcreek, Wesleyville, Lawrence Park and Fairview in Pennsylvania. The plant is operated by a team of over 85 employees. Most of the operations of the plant are computer controlled, including incinerator, overflow retention facility, primary pumping, and bar screens and grit chambers.
