My wife and I had Russell"s upholster the seats of our leather sectional.



Approximately a little over a year, the surface of this supposed "genuine leather" started to flake off. We've owned this sectional for 20 years. The rest of the leather sectional seat cushions are that haven't been re-upholstered are still in great shape!



I wasn't happy with how quick Russell's upholstery didn't last, so we contacted another local re-upholstery business. When they came out to look at the re-upholstered sectional, they immediately said it was recycled leather, not genuine leather. They've said they had complaints about Russell's doing this from other customers.



My wife called Russell's and explained her dissatisfaction with their dishonesty. They refused to remedy the situation.



People can't identify the difference between real leather and the recycled leather. Russell's took advantage of that and sold up cheap recycled leather. Below is a photo of their cheap "leather product."
