I only had a bag worth of items to get from Aldi in Escanaba. I also didn’t have a quarter on me for a cart and didn’t want a cart that huge to get some baking ingredients and a few odds and ends anyway. I pay with card or check and rarely have cash. Usually the associates are pleasant here, but tonight this particular one was very rude. They always let me take the cart they put the scanned items in for a minute to bag up my stuff and just give it back. This woman made me feel rather uncomfortable and wouldn’t let me take the cart for the minute to bag my stuff on the counter, and return it back to her. She said I had to bag it right there and couldn’t move the cart. Another customer was behind me. She put all of his stuff in that cart while I’m flustered and trying it bag my own stuff in that same cart that she put all the other customers stuff in. This was around 7:30 on 11/10/18. Usually I go to Meijer and Aldi both for food shopping, but considering sticking to only Meijer. They’ve never made me feel uncomfortable there, are always willing to help the customer, and I’ve been going there longer anyway. I used to go to Aldi an hour away, maybe I’ll consider one order of essentials a month at that one as I’ve never had a problem there either.
