wow

customer service is very low. the female has to most painful attitude, and depressing voice. she seems bothered every time we ask a question. went up to the Guy up front asked him for help he pointed his pen at another employee and continued writing. the thir employee glanced for a bit and asked "do you need help?". very sad visit.

I bought a $100 tang for my 150 gal saltwater aquarium from Fish Haven that died after 4 days. Examining the fish it was obvious that it had some sort of infection when I bought it. When I called the store owner he offered no compensation and attributed the death to "stress". This is ridiculous as the other fish in my tank did not bother it and they are all healthy and active. I would never buy livestock from this LFS again!

Great Store

I went to Fish Haven today, I had not been there in a while and they have definitely expanded since the last time I was there. The staff was very helpful, they tested my water for free and answered all my questions about the livestock. The sharks and stingrays were very neat and they really expanded their coral selection since the last time I went there. The store was much more clean and organized than the other stores fish stores I have been too. Overall I was very satisfied with my trip to Fish Haven and I will be shopping there more frequently.

Excellent Aquarium Shop

I have been shopping at Fish Haven for over five years. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and very knowledgable. They always have the products I need and their live stock selection is outstanding; including salt water, reef, and freshwater. They carry rare fish and invertebrates that I have not seen at other shops. The fish always look healthy and the tanks are kept very clean. Best shop in entire San Diego area!

Bad Service

I purchased a fish yesterday and it died last night I took it in to them along with a water sample and the levels were good and then they tell me it died because of another fish had killed it because it was a natural born enemy. So from that point the owner was infomed about the matter and he said that they are not going to let me exchange it for something else and i had to suck up the cost. I wasn't looking at getting my money back, I would have been happy with a store credit or something but I got NOTHING. They didn't even bother tell me what kind of fish it doesn't get along with. I will no longer shop at this fish store I would rather drive the extra miles to get better service then what I got. I will not RECOMMEND this company to anyone.

I had went to their store today to buy one fish in particular and to look around for some decor for my aquarium. I had asked them about the type of product I was looking for and they didn't have it, but they had another one that I was interested in looking at well when I had seen what they had brought out it was not what I was looking for but it would have been nice for my tank but a little on the expensive side. I had told them I would have to think about. So at that point it ws taken to the counter and when that happened they start to stare at me and laugh and make rude comments behind my back(this isn't the first time). I don't think this is very good customer service and I will no longer shop at their store. I'm not sure where I'm going to find anoter store. So if anyone knows of another store please let me know.

I will never shop there again!!!

Yesterday I went there and bought 6 green chromis, 1 coral banded shrimp and 3 turbo snails. 6x4.99 1x12.99 3x3.99 for a total of $54.90 before tax.When the guy was bagging up the chromis I told him not to bag ether of the two that looked lifeless.When I got home, sure enough one of the fish wasn't doing well from the moment I released it in to the tank. I left the store around closing time and there was no time to make it back to the store. The next day.. (today) when I got home from work I bagged up the fish and brought it back to the store STILL ALIVE. And told the guy that it wasn't doing well from the moment I released it in to the tank. But that the other 5 are doing great. He informed me that they don't really have a fish guarantee and what I wanted him to do about it. I wasn't looking for my money back and I even had my receipt. I just wanted the poor quality livestock that they sold me to be replaced with one of better quality. This was also the same guy that sold me the fish the day before. He looked at me and repeated himself "we don't really have a fish guarantee... so what do you want me to do about it?" I just left the fish on the counter and walked out of the store. This guy also knocked one of the claws off of the banded shrimp when he was bagging him up and said they grow back... it'll grow back. And didn't even offer a discount for damaging it. I know it'll grow back in about a month. But then he'll be all lopsided for awhile and well that's just not what I paid for.So in the end the $5 was worth more to them then a customer. I even had several hundred dollars (cash) that I was looking to spend in there today as well. It's a little bit of a drive but it looks like I'm only going to Octopus Garden for now on.~Daniel Reese
