long unecessary wait and mediocre food

I went to the Farm for their 1st year anniversary this past thursday. I was baffled to hear from our server that they had no ribs available. For a restaurant to be open for a year and to not have a proper inventory of BBQ items it is ridiculous. I drove with my friends all the way from Salem and I was definately disappointed by the experience. Hopefully they can start to work out these kinks because I have been to the Great American BBQ in Rowley and they never have a problem like this. Not to mention the food is of significant better quality.

The Farm Bar and Grille in Essex is a intriguing new place on 22 in essex. Many great ideas are swirling at the former JR's . On thurs, fri and sat many people attend live music featuring local bands. The food and service however is not very good and the service is extremely lacking. Many customers have waited for long periods of time for food when the dining room is barely occupied. I don't recommend this place unless you are looking for strictly live music and a younger age bar scene.
