Don't rent with Bell!! They are an awful company. I had a horrible time living at my place, because of them. The house was dirty and falling apart when I moved in. My house looked as though it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned or properly taken care of in years. There were major foundation problems, as well as mold and an ant infestation. It took weeks to get hold of anyone in the office that could help with anything. It was so exhausting trying to get any help from them that I eventually gave up. At the end of the year, they attempted to charge my roommates and I over $1000 in cleaning fees for a spotless house, that was much cleaner than when I moved in. The man I have emailed with about this was completely rude and unprofessional, to the point of attempting to belittle me. Bell Real Estate is an awful company that abuses their tenants, as they know they are young adults living on their own for the first time. They use this information to up charge their tenants for simple cleaning fees, because many tenants may not know this or will give up fighting for their right to their money. It was a complete disappointment living here. I will never rent will Bell again.

Do not rent from Bell R/E. They are dishonest, rude, have poor communication and very poor customer service skills. When my daughter rented from them the unit was so dirty when she moved in that we had to clean before moving items in. They said take pictures which means nothing cause we were told if we want any money back we need to clean upon move out. Which we did. She called and emailed problems such as smoke alarm battery not working and received no response from them. She left the unit in much better condition when she moved out and they claimed they had to clean pretty much everything. Even after writing a letter to them they feel they don't have to answer your questions. Bell ate up our deposit and had the nerve to bill us for more money. And wouldn't even explain and answer why we had to pay the additional charges. They take advantage of students and parents. They should not be in business to bilk students (parents). It's too late for us but I really recommend avoiding doing business with Bell. Wish I had read more reviews prior to dealings with Bell. The bad reviews greatly out weigh the good.

Warning- DO NOT RENT from Bell Real Estate, they take advantage of students. 1. They do not thoroughly clean or repair their properties before you move in. My unit had damages, broken fans/ lights, and was overall moldy and unclean. 2. You may be promised a unit, but they will take it away from you at the last minute before you sign paperwork. 3. Bell will charge high security deposits, which they will try to keep from returning to you for any number of reasons. 4. They do not answer the phones in their offices regularly. 5. If you have a problem to dispute with them, they will treat you poorly. Their smiles and niceties used to get you into a contract will disappear after you sign.

GET READY TO BEND OVER AND TAKE IT IN THE BUTT IF YOU RENT FROM BELL. Unfortunately, this realty group has the monopoly on cheap rentals in Eugene. As a college student I have had the DISPLEASURE of renting from them 3 times now merely because they usually have properties with cheaper rent. They are the SLUM-LORDS of Eugene and clearly don't give a flying f**&# about a single one of their renters. Here is a lovely little list of perks you can look forward to when renting from Bell Realty:-The most expensive application fees in town-Complete refusal to fix things around property ( I went a full 2 years in one property with a fence falling on my car-a fix they had promised to make)-An inhumane receptionist ANY time you call the main office-REFUSAL TO VIEW THE UNIT YOU ARE TRYING TO RENT......Yeah, they will gladly rape your wallet and make you sign a form saying that you have seen the unit, but they REFUSE TO ALLOW THE RENTER TO VIEW THE UNIT THEY ARE BLINDLY PAYING FOR.Honestly, if you can afford to pay a wee bit more per month you are better off renting from ANY other company in town. Oh, and did I mention Bell has the largest number of lawsuits against them of any other company?SAVE YOURSELF THE ANGER/ FRUSTRATION/ MONEY andDON'T RENT FROM BELL

An absolutely disgraceful renter's company with a severe level of incompetence.



My future roommates and I haven't even moved into our apartment and we are already regretting going through Bell. First, on numerous occasions they have neglected to communicate with us on the application process, when we would be signing a lease, and when a move-in date will be decided. Our persistent attempts to contact Bell and the property manager to gain this information left us with petty excuses insinuating their incompetence to successfully handle the customer's needs, yet again leaving us in dark and frustrated with the lack of customer service. I normally don't write reviews on businesses, but on this occasion I find it suitable to warn others seeking a renter's company to avoid using Bell. I guarantee you will be left feeling displeased with the way they handle business, and their handling of customers for that matter. I suggest you sincerely consider your options before you turn to Bell.

Never go through this company! Very unprofessional.

First correspondence was via email in which I had set up a time to go look at a house with a Realtor. I showed up at the time we agreed and waited 15 min past the agreed time which the person had not shown yet. Since I had no cell number, I emailed the person asking if they were going to show me the house still. The response was that she had totally forgot to tell me that they were closed that day....great so I left work early and drove 20 min out to see this place for nothing. I said forget it.

Second, After paying the application fees for both me and my fiance (totalling $80) we were approved for a rental home. We were told we could pay the deposit on the 1st, then choose when during that month we wanted to move in, and we would be charged a pro-rated amount. Great! except the following Monday we were informed we could no longer do this and had to pay everything on the 1st or they will move on to someone else.....

Needless to say, we will NOT be renting from this shady company. Keep your $80.

When my daughter moved in, the place was a wreck. Dirty walls, filthy curtains, broken shower (which took days to fix)etc. She took plenty of pictures and sent them to Bell. When it was time to move out, they took the entire deposit, and had the gall to ask for $150.00 more. We made many, many unreturned calls, heard a few unkept promises to 'look into it', and eventually resent by certified mail copies of the original pictures, all to dispute the charges for excessive wear and tear. These people do not care for their tenants, and they are not trustworthy. They do not belong to the Better Business Bureau, nor to the Chamber of Commerce. Beware! Beware!

A BUNCH OF CROOKS- DO NOT RENT from Bell Real Estate. The BBB even gives them an "F" rating ( http://bit.ly/ub85bk ) - They will never call you back and are extremely rude and you will not get your security deposit back. I rented from them last year and Bell forgot to mention that they overcharged us on our monthly rent by $800 - hoping that we would not notice. You have to make several calls to the maintenance department, it took me several calls to tell them that our carbon monoxide detector was not working (obviously their renters are not their biggest concern). Trust me, the last thing you want to be worrying about is dealing with a unethical business. Anywhere else in the United States and this real estate company would cease to exist, they just know they can rip-off college students and take their money. And beware if you have Walker Manske as your property manager. I was never able to get a hold of him so I decided to call the manager. He then (finally) calls me back chewing me

AWFUL COMPANY. It was impossible to get ahold of our property manager or maintenance people, plus everyone is so rude. Everything in our place fell apart and NO ONE WOULD HELP US. We cleaned everything spotless (they give you a suggested cleaning list - we did it fully) and recieved $100 of our $1050 deposit. After fighting with them for two months, we got $80 more dollars. They are the best CON ARTISTS in Eugene!!

We moved into our 2 bedroom apartment 6 years ago, and the carpet had "Spots throughout the place when we moved in, (Which was noted in the pre-move-in checklist), and I called Brent specifically asking him if he wanted us to shampoo the carpets. He stated "Don't worry about it" and now they want to keep 200.00 of our 500.00 deposit in addition, my wife and I spent 2 days cleaning the walls in the place, and they want to keep another 100.00 of the deposit. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!! They will find any excuse to nickel and dime you to play the game in their favor. Then they still want 130.00 from us!! Good luck SCAMMERS!!!!!

The property was near 18th and Garfield and was all around a falling apart, piece of junk. And they couldn't care less. Even with multiple calls weekly, nothing ever got fixed. I hear that it all has to do with the manager and my friends who are currently renting from Bell have a very good manager who takes care of things promptly. Just make sure you meet with the manager and do your best to check with other renters to see their opinion of him/her. Just remember that Bell is the leading realty company in Eugene, OR so you're just another notch on the belt to them. Since then I've had a much better experience with Jennings & Co.

My experience with Bell has been extremely disappointing. I rented from them 2 years ago and left our house cleaner then we received it. Prior to moving in the previous tenants were complete slobs and the house was a giant mess. When we moved in it was visually clean but Bell paid little attention to cleaning the details around the house. Especially the carpet which would turn your socks black if you ever walked around with just socks on. Furthermore we were told the owner would be replacing the carpet post my occupancy. The dirty blue carpet throughout the house was admittedly in horrible shape. Two years now I have checked on the same unit for updates and changes, but to no surprise, there is zero updates around the house.Additionally our security deposit was kept for the full 30 days with tons of replacement costs throughout the home. We left the house cleaner then we received, and suffered from it. If you are a current renter, you might as well leave the house dirty.

To Hell with Bell !!! I spent four days cleaning ceilings, walls, blinds (yes 100% clean vinegar based spotless) floors, tub, cabinets (kitchen/bathroom), refrigerator clean spotless, vacuumed everywhere no webs, replaced bulb all working. Wrote letter contesting their insane bull----, and Brent called back to tell me the head broker/owner could not help because she was at her grandfather's funeral. Requested he call me back several times and never heard from them. Now 60 days ago

tThe owner of this company personally worked with my family when we had a mold problem. He came out with Peter and help solve the issue. My family was safe and I felt like they really cared. Jinniffer GO BELL LOVE YOU GUYS

They worked with my family as we relocated to the Eugene area. Wlaker the showing agent showed us over 10 homes. Every step of the way they putt a smile on my face. I would recommend them to everyone.................

Bell Real Estate is a JOKEThey are unorganized, don't communicate with each other or potential clients .... Never will I suggest to anyone to use their services. I am done with Property Management Companies.

They are very horrible land lords... We also have mold in my son's room and all they told me to do was clean it with bleach!! Really If I do that, the bleach will get on the carpet.. We have been with them for years and yet they still won't replace the carpet that we moved into that was falling apart and very dirty. I will never ever recomend them to any
