The Good - I liked Dr. Jung a lot and believe he is good at what he does [technical skills], and their location is convenient. The Bad - everything else. I went to Eugene Eyewear because (a) I believe in shopping locally; (b) it was on my insurance plan; and (c) it's close to my work so I hoped to save time. Failure! What I got (with ins. benefits) cost much more than full retail elsewhere, and it took 8 trips to get my glasses. "Why 8" you ask? Because they messed up my lenses several times so I kept having to go back, ultimately taking several weeks to complete after several attempts [no, they never offered pick up/delivery, even though it was their fault every time]. Even better, each time I went in, I was apparently dealing with pre-Altzheimer's patients, as they could never recognize me and/or remember my name from day to day. Minor annoyance - I've never been in an optometry business before that does NOT clean your glasses when they take/return them to you [for any reason]

Disability? Golf?? Seems to me "LIKE THE PERSON BELOW" was raised poorly by the bitter type seeing as how s**t tends to roll down hill if you know what i mean. Over and over consumers are unquestionably deceived by misleading retailers and their fine print. Some people lead active lives which at times can burden ones eyewear. Others "like the person below" more than likely find themselves on a big soft eyewear friendly sofa for the majority of their day. None the less, telling customers what they need to hear to ensure they leave with product in hand regardless of truth is wrong plain and simple.

sounds to me like the person below is just a complainer. You always have someone who tries to get more for free than expected and then they blame others. How can someone scratch their lenses so many times? they should try taking care of their glasses rather than complaining about how others are responsible for their mistakes . . . this person must also be out playing gold when they should be on worker's disability . . . I'm quite happy with Eugene Eyewear and plan to go back and recommend to others . . . I have to pick up glasses this week in fact . . .

Dear Claire,######I am very sorry to hear that we did not remake the lenses for you. Please come back and ask to see Dr. Jung, and I'll personally make it right. It's true that our scratch warranty is for one time during a 1 year time period. However, in this case, it appears that we told you the wrong information regarding the number of times the scratch warranty can be used. I am very sorry for our mistake, as we really do try to make customer satisfaction our number one priority. I understand that you are upset. I do hope that you will come back to see us and give us a chance to make everything right for you. Thank you. ######Dr. Jung ###Eugene Eyewear

Went here in 2007 and asked specifically about their scratch resistant lenses and warranty as we were astonished about a previous store offering no warranty.######Eugene Eyewear said they had a 1 yr warranty. I asked: So for 1 year, you will replace the lenses whenever they get scratched? +Yes, absolutely+ Few months later, after scratching them with a Kleenex (?!?) we had them replaced. (Again taking 10 days instead of 3-4 as promised) ######2 months later: lenses were scratched again. We return to the store with our 1 yr warranty, right? WRONG. Now they tell us that the warranty is only valid for a SINGLE replacement of the lenses! I point out that I had explicitly asked what their warranty was, and that we chose their store only because they had assured us they would replace them for 1 full year. She replied: +It said that on the BACK OF THE RECEIPT+ (which of course you get AFTER the exam, choosing lenses and paying). Never said a word when I asked!######Avoid this dishonest store
