Having stayed at only a few hostels, (and many hotels and motels), I must say that this was the most pleasant expierience I've had. If you are lucky enough to stay here, then you are in eugene oregon. What I believe to be the most diverce small city in america. Whether sports,nitelife,music,hikes,biking, or even extreme outdoors, this place offers it. And if reading a book quietly under a shady tree while the kids watch t.v. is your gig, then this is it! The place was spotless! the kitchen caters to vegies and carnivorous alike! The bed was comfortable,the sleep was peacefull, the staff was great! And if you're lucky enough to meet the manager/owner, ask him if he'll play a tune for you. Thanks Whiteaker Hostel. Chuck.....Arizona
