Everyone at the office is great. So polite and friendly! Dr. Allender pulled a tooth from the roof of my mouth and a baby tooth. My previous experience at other dental offices had put a bit of fear in me. Dr. Allender and is staff put all that at ease. The procedure went great and the recovering was a lot less then I was expecting. I am so glad I chose a surgeon. I would definitely recommend OOIS!

Dr. Hammon is not compassionate, friendly, polite, or proffessional. Having oral surgery awful enough without complications and even worse with! I feel that I was treated like an annoyance after my surgery. I experienced several complications. I was scared and in a lot of pain. I was passed off to another doctor for most of my follow up care. Seems as though once he got paid, he didn't want to deal with me anymore.

Was referred to Oregon Oral and Facial Surgeons by dentist for a consult. Met with Dr. Hannon in my experience he was abrasive and dismissed my attempts to obtain information regarding my condition and concerns. He wanted to schedule an immediate CAT scan but the machine was not working and it would have to be rescheduled. As I was leaving he said that I needed a CAT scan but he would not recommend surgery. He showed no empathy when I asked about chronic pain and how it could be treated without surgery. I asked about insurance coverage and what tests were covered and the office administrator she said that generally it takes them about 2 weeks to hear back from the insurance company. I have insurance but a large co-pay so the costs of tests are an important factor I need to know up front. In general, I felt there was more concern for billing the patient for expensive tests and services and that there was little concern for actually diagnosing the issue and the patient's well being.

We have to compare the horrible mistakes we experienced at Tucker's practice with the professionalism we see at Oregon Medical Group, Oregon Eye Associates, University Hospital in Seattle and the like -- and we won't go back to Oregon Facial & Maxillary (Tucker's business). Tucker and his staff didn't refill a vital prescription I requested -- antibiotic for the infection that developed after Tucker performed my surgery, despite my making call after call begging for something to break my high fever. Even our pharmacist tried to get Tucker's practice to stop giving me a useless run-around and renew my prescription as I'd requested three days previously -- the pharmacist was also sent away with a strikingly unhelpful answer from Tucker's staff :(Without antibiotic for a several days, I developed the worst fever, sweating and chills I'd experienced in over 30 years.
