No one was willing to bring any of the product line over to me so I could better jog my visual memory in keeping w/what the boss told me RE: the specialty drink. I have a hidden disability too, so I've 0 respect for any biz that encourages me to be conversational yet won't give me the time of day, be bothered to explain much of anything to me/come down to my level, or treat me like I'm just as *worthy* of decent treatment as the next person.

But the very last time I came in, the staff & boss took it to a whole new level as the boss told me 2 more times to come in & chat w/him so he could get to know me better. After he said that, against my better judgment, I decided to give it 2 more goes.

But the last 2 times I came in, of which the VERY LAST time I had even brought a friend w/from back East hoping I might get treated better by staff & the boss if I brought new business to LovaKava, to make up for no one treating my daughter right on her birthday, I was served up what tasted just like part dirty wastewater & part Kava!!!
Not only did the boss not insist the help redo my drink for me w/my guest present, he tried to justify why the top of the line Kava tasted funny & tried to make me feel like I should've just known that's how it was supposed to taste & yet, none of my other instances of the same drink ever tasted even a little bad even though the treatment I got from the employees has always been consistently bad except for the one exception I mentioned early on in this review.

But also the last 2x I came in, it was because the boss had suggested I come in to shoot the breeze w/him & yet, BOTH times when I came in during the hours he said he'd be available, he couldn't wait to high-tail it out of there the minute I walked through the door. I felt like I was the butt of some inside joke at that point what with how the boss, the staff & some of the customers who were close friends of staff treated me the last 2x... but the VERY LAST time especially!

The immaturity, outright rudeness & unprofessionalism of nearly everyone there & the unwillingness to be CLEAR re: pricing & come down to the customer's level, PLUS the dirty, sour tasting drink I had the very last time I was there... WTF?! The point being, I could've been rude back about so many things, but instead, waited until CoVid shut your place down instead. So, the only appropriate response now is the octopus image I included.

I deserve the same CALIBER of treatment as the next person, but your establishment had it in for me from start to finish & was never the least bit apologetic about it. And this is PART II of the Google Review I left as Google Reviews didn't allow me to do a part II.

A Denise in Google Reviews ALSO said the owner was gossipy & taking jabs at other people's spirituality. That's not all he & his staff take jabs at & gossip about. Most everyone there behaved like an asshat except for the one really nice guy & that's it. I was initially going to add the very first guy who encouraged me to make conversations with others to the nice guy list, but looking back on it all, I think he was just setting me up for shabby treatment recommending I take the conversational approach.
