Horrible company,do not use

I waited on hold for at least 10 minutes listening to an inane recording about how many cars they have, etc. before giving up and calling a different company.

I am a public safety employee working in the Eugene Springfield metro area. I recently evaluated a patient that did not want to go by ambulance to the hospital. This individual was intoxicated and only wanted a ride home. She stated that she would take a taxi home but did not have a phone to call one. Because I felt that this was an appropriate option for her to get home, I used my personal phone to call her a cab from Oregon Taxi.



Skip forward to this afternoon as I attempt to arrange a cab from Oregon Taxi for my wife. The call-taker/dispatcher informed me that my number was black-listed because the individual that I helped last month didn't pay her cab driver the $20 fare. The dispatcher tried to be helpful and clear the blacklist note when I explained to her the circumstances. Unfortunately she was unable to make to note go away and when she asked someone else in the office for help with clearing the note, she was told that there was no way to do it and that "he shouldn't let people use his phone then".



I'm very sorry that the cab driver that I called for last month wasn't compensated for their service. I feel that we were both trying to help an individual in a tough situation. I'm also very sorry that I even called Oregon Taxi in the first place. They've lost not only the $20 from that night last month but any future business that I might have given them.
