Provided by YP.comAfter carrying in 10+ pre-labeled boxes the front desk guy refused to give me a receipt. He claimed he never prints receipts for prepaid labels. I don't know anyone who is willing to drop off several thousand dollars worth of product and not get a receipt showing it was checked in. Absolutely unprofessional.

Provided by YP.comI went into the Pak Mail on the 20th to make an EWEB payment, after 2 weeks EWEB said they had never RECIEVED OR PROCESSED a payment. I called and spoke to Bill the owner who went out of his way to call EWEB and get it all straightened out!!! THANK YOU BILL FOR YOUR DEDICATION TO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comThis is from the owner. Your weight calculations are incorrect. .9 lbs on our scale is 14 oz. which cannot be shipped 1st class package. I assume you did your calculations online. If you input 14 oz you will see that the package must be shipped standard post, or priority mail, which does not cost $2.50 at the post office. We do mark up our cost, part of what we do is convenience, which most people understand. We do not mark up a $2.50 cost to $9.09 as you stated.

Provided by YP.comWent to mail a package at Pak Mail on Barger by USPS (US postal service). The package was under .9 lb. I asked for priority shipping/flat rate or 1st class mail. The young girl said my package was over the weight for 1st class mail. And that priority shipping/flat rate would cost me more than ground 9.09. I checked the pricing with the post office and it would've cost me under 2.50 to mail 1st class. It also would've been way under the 9.09 to mail priority/flat rate with the post office free box. I was charged 1.50 for a manila padded envelope, and 9.09 for shipping for a total coast of 10.59. I was ripped off big time. Will not happen again and I will not recomend shipping from here to any of my friends. I would give them zero stars.

Provided by YP.comI called this pak mail office for shipping and packing quotes for a rather large, framed piece of art work. The person answering the phone was very nice and helpful, quoting me a price of over $400.00 to pack and ship a 39x30x1 inch box, double corregated and double packed, about 500 miles to Calif. She told me a crate would be even more. Upon calling another pak mail office in town I was able to ship this same art work, crated mind you, for 165.00. Almost 3 times cheaper. I called this pak mail office who quoted me the $400 plus price for a box and she double checked and also stated the insurance at her office was $75.00, the other pak mail office was $45.00. Whew, a big difference. Now comes the good part. When I called the less expensive pak mail office to confirm my order, I was told that the owner of this pak mail store had called and was raising holly hell, demanding to know how they could ship it for that price and generally being very nasty. So, good customers of Eugene. Check it out. the Pak mail on 13th and High is highly recomended. Great service, fair price and excellent customer service. This pak mail is a rip off and the idea of the owner calling and ripping the less expensive place is pretty bad. If's your choice, but this pak mail is out for your money, not customer service or a good deal. I wouldent have given any stars if I had the choice. In these difficult financial times, its good to know who you can trust. Its definately not here.
It has been quite awhile since this happened, I don't remember all the details but I do know that when my employee gave her estimate, it was based on sending the item via an air service vs. ground due to the value. This increases the cost dramatically. Pakmail corporate has certain requirements for high value items, and the method of shipping is one of them. I don't remember the value of this item, but if the coverage was @ 75 dollars, it must have been at least $3,000. I can guarantee you that I did not "demand to know how they could ship it at that price", nor did I "raise holy hell." I am not sure where these accusations came from. I did talk to the other store employee to see how they were going to handle this since it is considered a high value item. The owner of the store at the time had taken a second job, so he was not involved in the day to day operations. I did run an estimate recently based on the info given, and I could have packed and shipped with coverage being approved by Pakmail corporate via a ground sevice for @ $225.00. At the quoted $165 from the other store, I can guarantee you that the margin was extremely low, based on the costs involved, which I know exactly what the cost would be. Basically, the other store gave this one away. I am not "out for your money", I am not "very nasty." We do believe in good customer service. We also have margins that we must maintain to keep the doors open, just like every other business in Eugene. We cannot give away our sevices. On this transaction, the other store did, and made almost no profit.
