the rent is too dang high. they didnt insulate the pipes so unfortunately my pipes broke and most of my family pictures are gone they sent my 2 kids and me to a 1 bedroom apt for 2 weeks. neighbors are terrible one even yelled at me for my little chihuahua jumping on her leg screaming "GET YOUR UGLY A** F***ING DOG OFF OF ME" if you love being treated like a slave and are very very very stupid live here.

My husband and I have lived in quite a few apartments in the Portland and Eugene area and have NEVER had a problem until we lived at River Terrace. On the day we moved out and turned our keys in, we informed the lady at the office to call our cell phone if there are any issues about the apartment. She wrote down our phone number and forwarding address. 3 weeks pass, and we do not hear from River Terrace but we get our security deposit check. We were shocked they charged us 35.00 for a crack in the refrigerator crisper (even though we wrote it down on our move-in inspection list), 20.00 for the four drip pans and rings even though I wrapped them in foil to protect it. Since we forgot our to retrieve our handmixer, popcorn popper, and a couple of glass dishes from one of the lower cupboard, River Terrace charged us 20.00 and classified it as "abandoned goods" even though we went back to River Terrace to retrieve our forgotten items. It was not until we reported River Terrace to the Better Business Bureau that River Terrace realized they made a mistake and will be refunding our 35.00 since the crisper was charged in error. My family is also in the apartment rental business in CA and know how it is to treat their tenants with respect and integrity and to run their business ethically. Unfortunately, we just happened to receive a bad apple and we will be careful and do a background check on any apartments before we decide to rent it. It is a shame that River Terrace have unethical business practice which their only goal is their profit bottom line, not the well-being of their tenants. We will not be recommending them to people we come in contact with.
