WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

I have had my 2nd and LAST experience with R & D Computers. The first time was fine, and I thought the 2nd was fine, until I found a problem with the job. The problem is not my complaint. My complaint is the EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE HOSTILITY I received when I respectfully inquired about a solution.



After taking a dead PC to them to recover files, The owner(I think) Rich said I could have a moment at a computer to make sure I had all the files I needed, once that computer was done with a process, OR I could buy a cord that would allow me to access my dead PCs hard drive at home without waiting on the workstation. I opted for the cord that turned out to not work. Worse, I discovered that the files hadn't copied correctly to my backup drive. So far no big deal; I assumed he would make it right when I returned the next day. I asked him if I could go back to plan A; Could I have a moment to look at the contents of the dead hard drive to make sure I had the files I needed?



He was totally unwilling to help, and told me he would charge me 80 dollars for something he offered without charge the day before. When I calmly tried to state why I thought that was unfair, he said he wouldn't discuss it and when I tried to reason with him further he picked up the phone and said he was going to call the cops to throw me out.



Now, I know what you might be thinking. If I was reading this post I'd probably wonder if the customer was being insulting, rude, violent or vulgar. This kind of behavior is not in my personality. I am a person that can be agreeable to a fault. To be sure, I've NEVER been in such a situation that anyone has ever threatened to call the cops on me, and his doing so for politely disputing a policy was astonishing.



I'm not even that angry about the policy. I've been disapointed by unfair policy and moved on. What disturbed me so much was his total inability to listen to my side. He never once heard me. He just yelled over me from word one. If he had heard my side and still told me no, I wouldn't have liked it, but I wouldn't have been so appalled.



I have never, as a customer, been treated with such hostility in my life, and I have never felt the need to write a letter of complaint or even write a bad review, but this was so extreme, I had to warn others.
