South Bay Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum includes programs in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school additionally offers classes in art, music, computer science and physical education. South Bay Elementary School also offers the English Language Development program and gifted and talented education. It has a parent-teacher organization that sponsors fall carnivals, winter festivals, dance concerts, rhododendron parades and other fundraising events. In addition, the school s after-school programs include homework assistance, basketball, cross country, and recreational and educational activities. South Bay Elementary School also supports a student council and band and chorus clubs. It is located in Eureka, Calif., and is a part of the South Bay Union School District.
