Dr. Amanda Lloyd is a board-certified dermatologist in Encinitas CA who provides care to patients in the areas from her practice, the Skin and vein Institute. She is a highly skilled and qualified dermatologist who has several years of experience providing a wide range of dermatology services. Dr. Lloyd takes pride in her unique approach to dermatology care, which flawlessly blends cutting edge technology with personalized service. She listens to her patients’ concerns, taking the time to gain a deep understanding of their situation and working with them to create an effective solution for their concerns. She founded the Skin & Vein Institute with the goal of creating one location that patients can visit to receive quality, full spectrum skin care. Being a native of California and a present resident of Encinitas, she understands the concerns that patients will have in the sun-drenched climate. Dr. Lloyd earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry by graduating from the University of California Los Angles Honors Colleges. Following this she attended the University of Vermont, College of Medicine and earned her medical degree, after which she completed her dermatology residency in Dallas, TX at the Baylor University Medical Center where she also served as chief resident. She has completed additional training in Laser Therapy, Cosmetic Dermatology, Skin Cancer Surgery, Cosmetic Reconstruction, and Venous Disease treatment.
