Provided by YP.comSean Wray, you are the biggest douche bag in Evansville. I went online trying to find a Cleavers menu and here you are bitching about 10 cents charged for mayonnaise. Again. On a different site... You are the stereotypical restaurant jackass. You've never once bothered to write a positive review for the restaurant or sandwich that you have had "many times" and "love" but you couldn't log on fast enough to complain. Such a jackass.
Worth noting I have NO affiliation with Cleavers other than I eat there once every 2 weeks, or so. Food is a GREAT alternative to fast food. Portions are filling, menu selection is pretty decent. So sick of people like Sean Wray quick to complain but slow to (or maybe never) praise

Provided by YP.comREVIEW: Cleaver's Prime Sandwiches and Salads -
I went in for a pork loin sandwich which I absolutely love and have had many times from here. This time however I was waiting on my sandwich when I realized I was charged $.10 for something. Upon asking the young lady at the register, I was informed that I was charged for the mayo. She said anything added to the sandwich they are supposed to charge for it. I asked her if I would have put ketchup on it it would have been a dime and she said "No, not ketchup", I asked about mustard and she said "No, not mustard either". I clarified that only mayo was extra and she said "yes, I guess so".
I then asked to speak to the manager and she went to get him. She returned and simply said "We will give you your dime back". I said not to bother. The manager never bothered to come out as I requested. I didn't ask for my dime back, I asked to speak with the manager. There was no one in the restaurant and they were not that busy in the back as best as I could tell (in fact I saw the manager walking around in the back moments before). After receiving my food I walked outside and decided as much as I really loved that sandwich, I was really aggravated by the lack of service, respect and the policy itself. I returned the food and left. I didn't even ask for my money back because I figured if they responded the way they did already and the fact that they had an actual 'mayo extra' policy, I doubt they would have given me my money back on a perfectly good sandwich. By the way, I had never been charged before for this (or at least I thought I hadn't).
I have been into this restaurant on many occasions, brought groups in there, picked up orders for meetings for several groups, clients, meetings and such. They lost my business and I wonder how many more incidents they will need before they realize their issues. I always wondered why this restaurant always seems empty every time I drive by as it is in such a prominent location. Now I may know why. The irony is that I approached the owner when they opened up about working together for some marketing and promotion as I loved their food and wanted to see them succeed. I have had extensive experience in the restaurant field and travel quite a bit and have experienced many, many restaurants and I have never seen or heard of a policy like this in my life. First rule to remember... CUSTOMER SERVICE RULES! Great sandwich, poor service, bad policies and lack of courtesy.
I was a big cheerleader and promoter for this restaurant and now they not only lost my personal business, they have also lost my wife's company's business, my company and my client's company's business and any other group or organization I support, work with or participate with if I have anything to say about it. Let's see how much impact one person or group can have on a business that treats their business and disrespects their customers like this.
Some will say I am overreacting, and maybe I am, but I am sure most will admit this is a crazy policy and they should have at least handled it in a more professional way. I am tired of businesses 'nickel & diming' consumers for all the little 'extras' and hoping we won't notice as they siphon off our money a little at a time like with our phone and cable bills, credit card companies, banks and now restaurants. $2 dollars here, $5 there and now $.10 for mayo. Enough is enough. Hopefully others will take a stand when things like this happen and maybe businesses will begin to respect their customers.
