Deaconess Family Medicine Residency

The Deaconess Family Medicine Residency Program, founded in 1975, is a fully accredited, hospital-based program that provides in-depth training in the delivery of family-oriented health care. It is a three-year residency program that meets the training requirements of the American Board of Family Medicine and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The program offers information on several medical topics, such as dermatology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, radiology and geriatrics. The Deaconess Family Medicine Residency Program also includes elective courses in advanced gastroenterology, immunology, colorectal surgery, forensic pathology and missionary medicine. Located in Evansville, Ind., the program is housed in the more than 15,000-square-foot Wallace M. Adye Center, which is operated by Deaconess Health System.
