Helfrich Park Middle School, located in Evansville, Ind., offers academic programs to more than 600 students in grades six through eight. It operates under the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, and offers a curriculum that includes fine arts, family and consumer sciences, language arts and reading, foreign language, mathematics, science, social studies and computer application. In addition, it provides health and nutrition training, music lessons, physical and special education, information technology classes. The school offers a wide range of activities for its students that include bowling, choir, dance team, fun night, intramurals, robotics, speech team, sports, student council, tug of war, tutoring, videography and Web site development. Helfrich Park Middle School raises funds through its community partners, including West Side Nut Club, McDonald's, Wal-Mart and the Youth Resources of Southwestern Indiana.
