Back in 1982, the pizza industry was just starting to come into its own as a major dinner choice for the average family. It was in that year college friends Tim and Mark along with their friend Dan, first opened its doors of Pompeii's Pizza in downtown Reed City, Michigan. After a very successful 3 year debut, Pompeii's opened a second location in Baldwin. It soon became apparent that they had hit upon a very favorable recipe and restaurant style which lead to a third location to open in Scottville in 1989. After expanding the facility in Baldwin in 1991 and finding great success along the US 10 corridor, plans began to open a large Pompeii's/gas station/convenience store (and eventually a Taco Bell Express) all under one roof in Evart, MI. While this project was under construction, another location was opened in Rogers Heights, MI. The Evart location opened in 1995 and was a huge success.Back in 1982, the pizza industry was just starting to come into its own as a major dinner choice for the average family. I wish I could give less than one star! The service at this location is horrible. The customer service lady taking the orders obviously HATES her job there! Doesn't greet people doesn't say thank you and never says you're welcome when you thank her for something. Our party ordered our food within minutes of each other but half the group got their food while the other half waited an extra 20 minutes just to finally get it and have it be wrong. If that wasn't bad enough there was a hair in the pomazone. Not impressed one bit, drive a few blocks more and go to BC Pizza!!!
