I took a newly purchased 1992 boat with a yamaha outboard and asked for a service and tune up so that I would know what condition the engine was in. Quoted price was in the 250-300 range (in line wiht everywhere else) When I picked it up the next day I was told the engine was fine, although the lower end oil has water in it, but they suspected it was just becuase it was rarely changed. Other than that I was told everything was good. I took the boat to the lake and it would not start, turns out the previous owner had wired in a battery switch and the connections were in the bottom of the boat, so when they go wet the thing shorted out. I have since replaced the wiring and done it correctly. While checking that out I did a compression check as the paperwork from the service did not mention it, compression was good but one of the three cylinders is not firing I still need to figure out why not. This is something a good mechanic would have spotted while doing the tune up.Also when I picked up the boat they mentioned that they did not have the computer to due a full diagnostic on a yamaha motor and that if it ever needed one doing they had somebody in west seattle that was good ! So much for the $340 the bill came to, I will not be going back to them

Poor service. sold me the wrong part and would not refund. I would rather have bought the correct part to begin with. Thanks for doubling my cost. If I could give negative stars I would.
