I brought my central vac for repair recently. I was told that they would call me to advise what the repair entails and how much that would cost after their bench test. They never called me but instead I had to call several times because each time I called they said they have not had a chance to bench test my machine. Finally I called they said it was repaired and it would cost $150. I asked why they did not call me to advise what the repair entails and the costs. They said they forgot. I asked why such expensive repair when the carbon brushes part replaced was only $15 (retail price). Again, could not explained because technician was out for lunch. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told that their technicain said he replaced an armature coil. The owner's son showed me the carbon brushes repaced but when I asked for to see the armature coil, he could not find that. How convenient!!! I felt ripped offto have to pay $150 to replace a $15 part!!! This should have been a $60 labor + $15 part = $75. I would not recommend anyone to go there!!!
