We have been MSE parents for 6 years since pre-school and plan on staying through middle school. We love the individual attention our children receive, the exceptional experiences they get to have and the interpersonal skills they gain from small classes.

This is an amazing school! Phenomenal teachers and a low student-to-teacher ratio mean that students at MSE get an individualized experience that ensures that they are always challenged and nurtured. The focus at MSE is on creating self-motivated lifelong learners who feel confident about following their passions and effecting change in the world.

Between our two children, we have nine years experience at MSE. Both girls are encouraged to be independent, creative free-thinkers. The girls are wonderful at coming up with solutions and seeing questions from different perspectives. The spiraling curriculum gives the children in-depth understanding of the topics they study. The teachers and administration are very open, and questions and concerns are dealt with promptly. We are lucky that our children can attend MSE.

Our son was tested for the Jefferson County Gifted and Talented program and was accepted. After visiting that program we visited MSE. The choice was easy! Our first grade son is about to work on the tasks that are intellectually appropriate rather than what the district says he should be doing based on his age. His creativity thrives and he is loving school. They have been on amazing field trips including the Botanic Gardens... not to wander aimlessly but to use their digital cameras to make collages. Our son has asked if he can PLEASE stay at MSE through 8th grade. We replied, "Of Course!"

We moved back to Evergreen because this school is so exceptional! We have now been at the school for five years and both of our children have excelled beyond our wildest expectations. To find a place where the teachers are so dedicated to each child individually is truly inspiring. I cannot imagine that the person who posted the negative review meant to post it to the MSE page because this school is 100% dedicated to individual growth and if a child needs to be challenged further - they not only work with the child but with the parents to give the child opportunities to grow and succeed at their own pace. MSE teaches our kids a love of learning and an appreciation of the entire world community. It's an amazing and inspiring school!

This is an amazing school! I am so thankful that my children have the opportunity to spend their days in such an inspiring and nurturing environment! They have attended other schools and none of compared to MSE in terms of academic challenge, caring environment, and individualized attention!

Maria Montessori had something else in mind--an environment of freedom, creativity and happiness. Not one of stifling, boring, repetitive drills, unchallenging, meaningless homework and school assignments, grade and performance pressures--all to impress parents and lull them into a sense of security that their children will somehow be okay if they mindlessly follow this curriculum being spoon fed to them by a faculty and administration living in...I don't know...the 1800's?
