The mission of the Evergreen Park Fire Department is to provide emergency response services, code enforcement, public education and ongoing training. The fire department acts as a first responder to structure and vehicle fires, wild fires, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents and water rescues. Its fire prevention and investigation services include code enforcement, fire cause determination, public education and construction plans review. The department, which has a class-three ISO rating, has one station that serves all of Evergreen Park, Ill., and some surrounding communities through contract agreements.
