My father, Norman Severson was a member at this legion at least since I was a teenager (I graduated in 1969) Back then it didn't have the extension built yet. In my early 20's I start to go to the legion to see my dad and his friend Lanny Bergman. Of course everyone knew each other. I loved seeing my dad and all the other funny people there. There was always some good natured teasing going on. My dad used to go on motorcycle trips with his buddies, some were my age. I couldn't wait for them to come back so I could hear all their crazy stories. Most were exaggerated! Hope someone out there remembers when my dad went hunting and came back with a bear hide vest. He took his shirt off and just wore the vest. The bartender at the time was a young man named Hilary and he kept telling my dad to put his shirt on but of course he wouldn't do it! Everyone was cracking up. Times, they sure have changed but those old days were so fun. Everyone then and now has always been so nice and friendly. I will be going to the gravesite to honor my father and all the people who have protected and served our wonderful country. Hugs and kisses to you all. Especially to my
fun loving father. Thanks for the memories, Deborah Severson
