Been a good customer for years,but lately they've started putting UNAUTHORIZED charges on my credit card when I order for delivery. They claim this is because of where I live, but that information is NOT on the website. I'M NOT A CUSTOMER ANYMORE.

We ordered as a company,3 salads,2 subs. They forgot a salad , sent no salad dressings for any salads, and the subs (1) was asked to not put veggies on it (let.,tom, onion), but it came dry as a bone not even mayo and no oil and vinegar.

ORDERED ON LINE CHARGE WAS $20.19 WHEN THE FOOD ARRIVED THEY CHARGED ME $22.42. THEIR FOOD IS HIT OR MISS. WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN!!!!

I ordered the Italian stromboli of the lunch specials at the Exmore location. This was only my second time eating there. My first time was wonderful and my second time was a nightmare. I asked for my stromboli without peppers. First it came out with peppers so the cashier took it back and 20 minutes later the next one had peppers also. So I ended up just picking the peppers out. Everyone else was done eating while I ate alone. My father got the 21 popcorn shrimp. They were hard. He ordered mashed potatoes and ended up with French fries. My boyfriend got the Philly cheese steak sub and was suppose too get fries and got chips. My dads girlfriend got the meat loaf dinner and wasn't impressed with her salad. No I've was happy or satisfied...

We received delivery from the Chesapeake Store, normally I am very happy with the service. Not so much tonight. Normally, our containers are full, it look as if they cut their serving sizes in half but not the prices. The food didn't even taste the same. We might try it one more time but if we get the amount of food that we got tonight, we will end up switching restaurant.

I can't comment on the atmosphere as I've only placed orders with them,but I've been doing this since I first had their stuffed steak pizza back around 2008 from the Jefferson location. I have since moved around quite a bit and have never ordered from a different place than them and their Chatam location. The folks that take my order are always polite and friendly. The deliver drivers are are always on time if not early and display the same demeanor as the individuals on the phone. If a 45 min delivery time is unacceptable to some people then it's obvious they don't place the same importance on the quality of their food as I do,and that's OK. I just can't live like that.
I won't try to list what I like that they make,It's safe to say that if you like the the type of food they make then you will like the way they make it.
But if you haven't tried the stuffed steak, when you do you'll wish I had done it sooner............

First time customer/delivery victim. I ordered last night for the first and last time.



Food was subpar at best. "Award Winning" steak on my sammich was steak-um. I could get better "Award Winning" crab cakes at Captain D's. The only thing that was better than average was the kids' menu Ravioli & Meatballs - pretty good for delivery.

Prices charged were higher than advertised on the menu I received in my mailbox.

I would like to give them another shot, if only because of the diverse menu, but I doubt I will.

Maybe they should cut the menu offerings in half, and concentrate on quality?

First of all, the one we use us on Chatham Dr. in Newport News. There appears to be a language barrier between the cooks and the other employees. They seem to have gotten better, as our last two orders were perfect. Their food is, otherwise, amazing. Always hot and fresh. Yes, on the calzones, the sauce is not on the inside as it should be and when they do give you drive on the dose, it is in tiny little containers that are only half full. We still continue to order as we order a lot of their mixed party platters of subs, clubs, and rustics which are amazing as long as they actually make them to order correctly. Always fast service. Again, the food is AMAZING whether it is pasta, calzones or their sandwiches.

have ordered from them many times and the food was good. Tonight our whole order was HORRIBLE! We got 2 BLT subs and the bacon on both of them was like trying to eat LEATHER! We could not eat them! The german chocolate cake was doughy inside. The chicken wings were sooo dry that you could not even chew them at all.. I don't know what is going on; but it was NOT their quality of food from there and it was a real waste of our money!

just tried to order a special online and getting an error. called the store and was told that they no longer had that special. But it's still on the website. Asked to speak to a manager and was told that there was no manager working. Seriously? Been ordering from here for a long time but not the first time we have had an issue like this. Might just be the last time

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. They give such great portions of food for a low price. I normally don't have alot of problems (aside from a few forgotten items here & there) until today. The customer service tonight was terrible, I don't know if the girl was new or having a bad day but tonight was not a good night to be ordering. I still will continue to eat here because again they are simply amazing but keep an eye out for poor customer service.

FIRST I will say we ALWAYS order pizza from Sunrise in Chesapeake. Never had a problem, except for a bit too much oil..but it was fixable. Our order always arrived early. Always! Today we went to 'eat in' at the restaurant. What a disaster. We were seated, and given menues. She took our drink order. And never came back. After 10 minutes (which is a LONG time when you're waiting for service!) we saw someone else be seated, given a menu, bring his drink and take his order! And we were still sitting there! With nothing! Eventually another server came over, seemingly ready to take our order. When we asked about why we were made to wait, she made some remark about 'well, everyone came in at once...'.I counted 5 (FIVE) tables with customers, 4 who had already been served!. SERIOUS lack of service issues. I've been in food service for almost 35 yrs, 25 of those as a server! This was crazy! We caught up with a manager in the parking lot as we were leaving (of course we didn't stay!) and his response was 'well, in the morning for breakast it gets really busy'. It was 12:25PM, way past 'breakfast'. Totally inexcusable. We were very disappointed! I really wanted to try that Reuben Sandwich! Never again...but will still order the pizza and have it delivered!

The food does NOT make up for their customer service. They forgot an item & after 60 mins it still wasn't at my door. I had to call 2x to to find out about the item not including the the call to report the missing item & the manger felt my meal wasn't ruined. I asked for the meal that was messed up to be a credit & the manager refused. This will be the last time I order from them. I warn anyone thinking of dealing with the place to be VERY weary of dealing with the service.

Irritating!!! I used to think there pizza was very good at chesapeake. Too many VERY late deliveries, tough, cold pizzas and the last order must've been delivered on there sides. The the cheese and toppings were on one side. Stretched too thin so it was floppy and the minimal amount of topping just slide off! Will NEVER order from again! Tired of poor service and food. Too many places to order from to keep loyal to this place. Someone needs to have a talk with the management.

I order from the Chesapeake store for a large pizza for $18 .The pizza was like a medium so I called the store about the size she said that is the way is was. I will never order from the place again

Will not order from Sunrise again. Burgers were very dry. The fries were soggy. The "meat lovers" pizza was light on meat. It tasted very much like a frozen pizza from the store. We will not be ordering from here in the future!
