- Nan Rothwell Pottery - I make functional salt glazed and stoneware pottery, which I sell in my Nelson County, Virginia studio. Visitors are welcome! Come see the work in progress, look at the kiln shed and glaze mixing area, and browse the studio showroom. I teach regular weekly classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. Several times a year, I also offer workshops geared to working potters and serious students who want to focus on specific aspects of making, glazing or firing pots. My website includes an online gallery, wedding registry pages, details on classes and workshops, and technical information on glazes and firing cycles. - We're near Nellysford in Nelson County, Virginia. My studio is about 150 miles southwest of Washington DC and 35 miles southwest of Charlottesville, VA. Although your GPS will get you here, I strongly recommend following the driving directions

- The studio is in a lovely spot, overlooking the Rockfish River in Nelson County, Virginia. If you like to walk, you're welcome to follow a mowed path down to the water. Nelson County offers gorgeous landscapes, a full-season resort (Wintergreen), and a variety of wineries, breweries. We even have a new hard cider maker. It's a lovely area to visit!
