Provided by YP.comWe called Avir at 9:30 on a Saturday night when our air conditioner stopped working. They came right over and stayed until they had it fixed. We appreciated the prompt emergency service at that late hour, and so did put our visiting relatives! Thanks to the technician for doing such a good job, and being such a nice guy!

Provided by YP.comNice to see an honest, dependable service person these days who takes the time to do a great job, does it at a fair price, and cleans up after himself. Thanks again, J.C. for getting to us quickly and doing a good job of getting the a/c up and running again.

Provided by YP.comJust wanted to say thank you to the very helpful technician that came out in the evening to my home when my a/c broke down. He spent a good deal of time finding and repairing a leak and replacing the refrigerant. My family was very grateful to have the a/c working again!

Provided by YP.comHad a problem with my AC cooling unit as it was not cooling the house ....checked my compressor and saw that my fan wasn't running...did my research online (thank god!) and learned that it could be a capacitor ( $20 for a new one + Labor) or a Fan Motor and unit ( $250 -$300). This company charged me $75 to come and take a look ( standard for most companies to do so if you aren't on their maintenance plan) and the technician took a look and told me that the fan needs to be replaced as his "reading" showed that the capacitor was good. I insisted that he change the capacitor first and see if it works before he change the fan motor and lo and behold it worked once the capacitor was changed ( and this was a used capacitor he had with him)..he charged me $100 - $75 for the visit + $25 for the used capacitor!! I hope they are more honest with their customers and look at the long run as opposed to making a quick buck as they have already lost me as a customer!!
The technician acted professionally and capably. He first checked the capacitor. It is not uncommon for the capacitor to check out okay on the meter, so the fan was also checked. When the customer asked what was wrong, the technician at that time told him either the fan or the capacitor, and told him pricing on both. The technician ascertained that it was the capacitor and not the fan. The customer did not want to pay for a new dual capacitor ($180) so the technician gave him the used capacitor that he was using for test purposes. There was no dishonesty - everything was aboveboard and fully explained to the customer. And the "quick buck" was 45 miles travel each way for the technician. In the end, the service was performed professionally and correctly, as the gentleman's air conditioner is working, the true benchmark of good service.
