Provided by YP.comCan't say enough about this place, saved my life more than once! I originally came to CSTL from Kansas, knowing I needed a safe place to live. CSTL has been that and more, to me and countless others...it really works!

Provided by YP.comWriting a review for CSTL is really easy. This is my home and I can't say enough of how much this place has shaped my life in a positive way. I choose to live a life of sobriety and know from past experience that living sober and alone is not good. In all the years I have been at CSTL I have developed many great friendships. I am a truck driver and work 12 hour days and it is great to come home knowing I have friends there. I consider myself a patriot of CSTL and never will be able to repay all I have gotten. The owner, Don Troutman, is one of the finest people I have ever known. If you are looking for a sober place to live, check CSTL out.

Provided by YP.comGreat place literally saved my life. My family lives in Monterey and I visit them quite often. I have been living here for 3 years and work in a local manufacturing shop. My life is wonderful and the friends I have made are friends for life. This is a great place to live clean and sober and the meals are all A+++++

Provided by YP.comThis place is great and I really enjoy living here. I have been here almost 2 years. I have a great support group and many new friends. I still work part-time and made the decision to live with other sober people.
I conduct a weekly 12 X 12 meeting here on the main block and am starting to sponsor new people. I cook one day a week and we have a great group of cooks doing service. Our meals are really better than some restaurants. I highly recommend this intentional living community for anyone.
I feel at home here.

Provided by YP.comI struggled with alcohol for many years and was not successful with my first treatment and AA. Finally my family found CSTL. I went through their detox which was okay. The food sucked but it was okay. I went to their rehab for 28 days and this was good. The only negative there was they tried to talk my family into another month which I felt I didn't need.
I spent 2 months at CSTL and it was great. I found a sponsor and learned a lot about the big book. The other residents were cool, the food was pretty good and mt 2 rooms were fine.
The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was 2 of the staff members were sometimes jerks. The night time manager seemed to give out panel slips for little stuff and their head maintenance guy treated most people like crap.
Besides that this place is great and I have been sober almost 2 years since leaving there and still go back to a few AA meetings there.

Provided by YP.comWith a limited income I decided to search for a sober roommate on Craigslist. Someone told me to look at CSTL in Fair Oaks. Best thing I ever did. I moved in about 1 year ago and this community is the best. I live in a beautiful home on the main block. I hate to cook and the meals are great. The dinners alone would cost about $12-14 at a place like Denny's and they are much better .
Everything is included, food, utilities, WiFi, cable and even free washers & dryers and the rent is 30% less than I was paying for a small 1 bedroom.
If you are looking for a sober community check this place out
