Recently had a business luncheon at the restaurant and to my surprise it is a mistake to have 2 tea bags with your meal. The waiter, an older non-gentleman, came around to take our order and I chose hot tea. He came around with a tea box. I took 2 tea bags; One before eating and one for after eating. Any fool knows that if you haven't had anything to eat all day should have something hot to drink first. Any way he brought the hot water for the tea before I had my meal. He came around and asks to refill the others' drinks (they all had ice tea); didn't ask me if I needed more hot water. I let it slide.



Now, we are all still discussing business and everyone is pretty much finish with their meal. The waiter came around again and refilled everyone’s ice tea and still didn't ask if I needed a refill. Well I tried to get his attention 3 times. He just walked by me and didn't even acknowledge me. He was inches away from me. So I said "excuse me can I have some hot water". To my surprise he turned around and said "Did you think that I didn't notice that you took 2 tea bags? Huh!! Did you think that I didn't know that you would need more hot water? " Everyone at the table was shocked, including me. Here I am AT A BUSINESS LUNCHEON, and this piece of *(&^ treated me this way. I wonder who he thinks was paying the bill. I didn't get nasty I just told him to not bother with the hot water. Now in my mind it could be anything. Maybe he was having a bad day but you go figure.... 6 people at a table 1 black person took 2 tea bags. I did leave a nice big tip… all one (1) cent. I get better service at a gas station.
