The Rev. Estelle Chandler was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the marital union of Alvin H. and Nellie E. Sweet-Wilson. From an early age, she came to know the Lord and His power of prayer. At age 12, she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior being baptized into the CME Methodist Church. Until she went away to college, she was active in every child and youth activity of the church. Later, Rev. Chandler and her sons were bapitized by immersion at her home church Calvary Baptist Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by the Rev. Tommie Mims.
